How renting with us works

A clear path.
Then you decide.

From a first email to moving day. You can ask questions at each step.

  1. Say hello

Email hello@edwardshousing.co.uk and tell us what you need. If a suitable home is free, or one is coming up, we will say so.

  2. See the home

We arrange a viewing so you can look around, ask questions, and decide whether it feels right.

  3. Agree the tenancy

Before you commit, we explain the rent, the terms and any agreed charges in plain language.

  4. Move in

You move into a home we have looked after. If something needs a repair, email us and we will keep you updated.

01 / Our story

Family roots.
Room to grow.

The beginning of a family business, with a purpose that goes beyond the property.

Built for the next generation.
Grounded in good morals.

We're building a family business with a simple purpose: to help create a better future for our tenants. We believe a safe, comfortable and well-cared-for home gives people the stability to put down roots, make plans and look ahead with confidence.
Luke Edwards
Founder, Edwards Housing

For us, it is more than a tenant in a house. It is someone making a home. We want honest conversations, practical care and mutual respect.

We look after our tenants and our properties. In return, we ask tenants to care for the place they live in. Shared pride, with everyone doing their bit.

02 / What we're made of

Good morals.
Everyday actions.

Nothing complicated. Look after people, look after the home, and say what we mean.

01

Care goes both ways.

We look after our tenants and keep our homes well maintained. We ask tenants to look after their home too.

02

A proper conversation.

Friendly, honest communication. We listen, and we respect your privacy.

03

No guessing games.

Clear explanations of rent, tenancy terms and agreed charges, from the first conversation.

04

Repairs matter.

Report a repair by email. We acknowledge it and update you as the work progresses.

05

Here for the long run.

A family business built with the future in mind. We prefer stable tenancies, and we would rather talk early if your circumstances change.

03 / A little something extra

Feel at home.
Feel valued.

We are developing a tenant benefits programme for people who rent with us. It is not finished, and nothing here is a guarantee.

Still in development

Each benefit depends on availability and agreed terms. Ask us what may apply to you.

Ask about tenant benefits

First to hear

Existing tenants can hear about a suitable home before it is advertised more widely, and can say if they are interested.

Room for a change

Help exploring a larger home, a smaller home, or another suitable place we let.

A thank-you for introductions

Refer-a-friend rewards when an introduction leads to a tenancy, subject to the scheme's terms.

Payday that works for you

Where we can, a rent payment date that fits your payday.

A little long-term appreciation

Recognition for long-term tenants, such as anniversary gifts or an agreed improvement to the home.

Current homes

Ask what
is available.

Email us about a home you would like to see, or ask what is free now and what may be coming up.

Enquire about a home

Good to know

Questions,
answered plainly.

Viewings, the deposit, repairs, pets and bills. If your question is not here, email us and we will answer it for the home you have in mind.

Ask us something else

How do I arrange a viewing?

Email us about the home you would like to see. Where we can, we arrange a viewing so you can look around and ask questions before you decide.

Where is the deposit held?

When a tenancy deposit is taken, it is protected in a government-backed tenancy deposit scheme. We tell you which scheme applies, and how to get the information you are entitled to.

How do I report a repair?

Email hello@edwardshousing.co.uk and describe the problem. We acknowledge the report and update you as the work is arranged. Put Repair in the subject line so we can see it quickly.

Can I keep a pet?

Ask us about the home you are interested in. We will tell you whether a pet can be considered there before you decide.

Are bills included?

It depends on the home. The tenancy sets out what the rent includes and what you pay separately, and we explain that before you agree.

04 / Our door is open

It starts with
a good hello.

A home, a repair, or a question about how we let. Email is the way to reach us.
